Amenata has also held a position with the TJX Corporation as an internal auditor, overseeing many audits of the company's distribution centers and retail locations for TK Maxx, Winners, HomeSense, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Homegoods Corporations in the US, UK, and Canada. Although she was born in Trinidad and Tobago, at the age of eight, she moved to the United States. Amenata, who was raised in a family of singers, artists, and political activists, was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad. She uses home remodeling as a way to convey her artistic vision and creative inventiveness. Over the past nine years, she has managed multiple properties while also working full-time as a corporate manager. Amenata adores the outdoors, exploring new places, and spending time with her loved ones.

Her prior employment history includes working as an external auditor with PriceWaterhouseCoopers from 2003 to 2006, during which time she led financial audits and handled audits as a senior, including creating, organizing, and carrying out audit plans. Amenata began her career at TJX Companies, Inc. in 2006 as a Senior Internal Auditor and later progressed to Audit Supervisor, where she headed a group of internal auditors, developed audit plans, examined the work papers of the audit team, combined audit findings, and produced final audit reports for both financial and operational audits. Amenata was also employed by TJX Companies, Inc. from 2009 to 2013 as the Corporate Accounting Manager. In this role, she managed a group of four accountants who performed the division's monthly budget to actual results and financial statements.

Amenata oversaw a staff of six personnel at Abt Associates, Inc., where she held the position of General Ledger Manager of Finance and Accounting. The team consisted of two senior accountants, two staff accountants, and the accounting supervisor. Under her direction, the company's accounting cycles, financial reporting, and other matters about GAAP financial reporting were managed. From 2013 to 2018, Amenata was in charge of managing the accounting staff, creating and upholding accounting standards, policies, and procedures to guarantee accuracy, and overseeing all facets of making sure the financial statements were reported on time. She worked as the Manager of Financial Services at Cubic Corporation, where her duties included overseeing the financial accounting and settlement operations for different transit agencies, managing partnerships with outside parties, creating and preserving internal control protocols, and documenting the protocols from 2018 to 2020. As the founder and CFO of Botus Consulting Services LLC, Amenata manages properties and undertakes large-scale remodeling projects. From 2013 to the present, she has overseen a group of eleven contractors who work on small to large home projects.
